Hello,
this morning we finished our operation from Hiiumaa-Isl.. By dismantling the 2m-antenna group we saw a faulty dipol at one antenna, so sri for all 2m callers we could not work, especially via EME.
Next disappointment were the missing 6m condition over all the days there including the IARU-6m-contest. DH8BQA would say "Mr. No Six" - we made a lot lot of contacts via MSK144 + FT8 on 6+4m. FT8 is very helpfull under such poor conditions. We tried FT8 also on SW, very divided opinions here. But I don't want to take part at this discussion atm.
Hope to upload the missing logs today, should have been aroud 1000 QSOs from EU-034.
We left the rainy island at 1430 local time, took another short break in Haapsalu and then went to the end of the world- yes we really did. It's the Cape Põõsaspea a stormy, but nice place. Not the best place to erect antennas, but for one evening during the NAC-microwave contest it will work. Only water between us and Sweden plus Finland, let's see whats going on. No SW from here, only a bit 6m together with 23+3cmtrs. It's really a place for the soul to feel unrestrained nature. Thas what I'm just doing beside writing this post. Probably I'll not make any QSO today, only play with the logs and looking over the roaring waves. But ES0UG/3 is on the air now.
Tomorrow we'll start early for a long trip to Cape Kolka. There we'll stay for one night to activate KO17, as we could not do so in 2016 (from ES0). May be I'll post a few news tomorrow if time allows. If not, I'll find the time on the ferry from Friday to Saturday.
